I am really excited to start blogging. I have been reading so much about personal finance in the past year, that everyone’s motivation and drive has rubbed off on me. Every blog that I read is personal, and each writer shares his/her own experience. I love this because everyone takes a different path in life and has lessons of their own to share.

Here are some nifty facts about me:

– Early 20s

– Live in Texas.

– Hispanic (pretty obvious, huh?)

– Completing Master’s in May

Lately, I have been wondering what’s going to happen when I finally graduate. It’s exciting, yet scary. I worry I am not ready to transition from a full time student to the “real world.” I have been reading about taxes, FICA, mortgages, 401K, IRAs, investments… As a result, I  have learned more about personal finance in the last few months than in my entire life.

Thankfully, I am lucky enough to graduate debt free, as well as, set aside some savings for my first car. So excited, finally! After relying on public transportation, friends, and boyfriend (now husband), I am so close to having a clunker I can call my own. 🙂

I am going to be blogging about my progress as I begin on my path to financial independence! Hopefully I can get some advice!

    • Thanks John! I was just checking your post! I plan to write a blog post later on detailing how I managed to graduate with no student loans. Hopefully, I can encourage some students to do the same 🙂
